Welcome

Hey Hey! Welcome to my website :)  If you don't know anything about me, this is where I try to share as much as possible. If you want more- let me know! Thanks for visiting and I look forward to meeting all of you in the future.  ~ Skye

I’m a Mom :)

It’s official I’m a mom. I will get to that :) Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. (It seems that I am always saying that.) It has been an exciting few months. My little sister Saje got married in Maui this past July. It was so beautiful and we all felt our dad’s presence. I sang for their first dance and my brothers danced with her for the father/daughter dance, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. It was such a special time with my family. I have still been writing articles for The Reset. It’s an awesome website, if you haven’t checked it out yet, please do. My articles are once a month and are titled under the Fix it category. I have sang at a couple private events but had to say no to a few for the past month because of being pregnant. But now I can sing again because my little boy Waylen Stone was born on Oct 5th. He is healthy and delicious, I am in love. I will keep you guys updated with any public performance info but I will be busy for a little while enjoying being a new mom. Until next time- let’s all love one another, the world needs more of that.

Hi everyone :)

Happy New Year! I am sending love to all of you and am hoping that everything is ok in your world. I am still writing new songs and seeing where that takes me. I promise that when they are ready I will share some with all of you. Everything else is great, I am busy writing and working, and spending time with my family and friends. I am doing an interview today for a Global Peace Summit, which I think is amazing! Talk to you all soon. The link for the interview if you wish to listen is www.globalpeace.earth

It's been awhile

Hi everyone, sorry that it's been so long since my last post. As I have admitted in the past I am not the greatest blogger :) Anyhow, I have started performing at some events again. I will be giving a short Tedx talk and singing one song this Thursday Oct 27 in New York city. Here is the website to check out if you want to go.

The lineup of speakers is pretty amazing. Also I have finished a couple new songs and will be sharing little clips of them on my Facebook fan page and Instagram periodically. Thank you for always checking out what I am up to. Take care

Happy New Year

This past year changed me forever. I was so broken after my dad's death that I really couldn't think of the future or anything for a while. Losing my dad in the physical form was the hardest thing I have dealt with so far in my life, but also one of the most significant in helping me grow. I have spent the better part of the last 12 years of my life traveling with my dad and hearing him lecture, always taking away some new wisdom. I have to admit these past few months were the first times where I have truly lived his words. Grief doesn't let you escape, you can numb it if you want, but it will still be there when you are done escaping. I was grateful to feel so much sadness because it made me realize how lucky I was to have loved someone that much. I knew that I could handle anything after that, I had no more fear. My heart is so much bigger now, there is so much light inside of me, and the empathy I thought I felt became only stronger. I hope that all of you feel love and happiness in 2016 and every year after. And if you are facing adversities remember something my dad used to say, "It's not about being the best, it's about being better than you were before. Happy New Year!

My dad

I first want to thank everyone that has sent me such beautiful messages about my dad, every single one is appreciated. My dad's death was shocking, he was so healthy and I was with him two nights before he passed away, as he gave an incredible lecture in New Zealand. I am forever grateful that I got to spend three amazing weeks with him before he left us. As I write to all of you the pain hasn't lessened but I do feel his presence and that gives me so much comfort. He taught me so much about death, I'm trying to utilize everything he taught me. I will miss so many things about him, but I will live my life with all of his messages in my heart. To anyone going through a death of someone close, the pain is terrible but my dad always said "choose to see death as simply removing a garment or moving from room to room, it is merely a transition." They are close and always sending love. I know my dad is sending the whole world love. i love you all

So.....

So I have been a complete ass for forgetting to share my life recently, forgive me 😘 everything is great. I have been so lucky to have spent the last couple months performing at smaller gigs and getting to spend time with my family! I am in Australia right now- which is a dream come true! What a beautiful country- and the people couldn't be more friendly. I am here for a total of 3 weeks, 2 and a half weeks in Australia and 5 days in Auckland New Zealand. I got to perform in Brisbane, which just happened yesterday and then I get to perform in Melbourne next Saturday and then Auckland on the 27th. After this trip it's a busy fall for me but I will share everything with you on a more regular basis. I hope each of you is happy, healthy and loving your life. Talk soon...

New Beginnings

Hello everyone, this past month has been so amazing. My little sister Serena had her first baby on March 31st. I was there for the birth and it was the most amazing experience of my life. Mothers are crazy strong- not only do you go thru the physical aspect of birth but also the amount of work it is in the beginning- I have the ultimate respect for all of you- and dads too! I have always loved children but have honestly been a little terrified to have kids- but after witnessing what a miracle her whole experience was- I think I'm finally ready :) Everything else in my life has been great- I landed in Portland last night to perform at one of my dads events today. And then also next Friday in Denver. I also got asked to do a really cool event in Miami on May 3rd. Lulu lemon is hosting this event by Emily Nolan who runs My Kind Of Life. It will be a yoga event where I sing live for the whole class- talk about a lot of preparation- I'm singing 11 songs and most of them I had to learn. I am really excited and can't wait to challenge myself. Until next time- I hope all of you have a beautiful day.

Where did February go

Hello people :) I don't know if anyone feels the same way, but I am still perplexed that we are already in the month of March. I always heard the saying time flies as you get older- but never really understood it...until recently. I have been busy writing, working on finishing up projects on our first house and finalizing upcoming shows. I just got asked to sing at an awesome event in Miami that I will tell you all about as soon as the details are finished. I am going to be traveling to Portland and Denver next month for two shows with my dad. And also I will be doing some local shows in Florida- dates tba. Hope you all have a wonderful day and week. Take care

Happy New Year!

I saw this picture the other day and loved it :) so I had to share. I hope you all are having a great new year and living your life the way you want to. I just got back from visiting with my family on Maui, and loved every second. I feel so freaking fortunate to get to travel and spend it with the ones I love. I also sang at my dads I am light weekend event- which also had the most amazing women. Anita Moorjani, Immaculee Ilibagiza and Scarlett Lewis- 3 women who have endured so much yet have lived their lives only from love. They are doing so much for our world, I can only hope to live a life as noble as theirs. If you haven't heard of these women please check them out- they teach us so much about forgiveness. I am back home now in florida and am still writing- I will share some new material as soon as I can, and you can always check me out on Instagram and Facebook where I always have little clips. Take care.....
